Course Description: The course has been designed to introduce fundamental principles of semiconductors, DC analysis of diodes, BJT and FET type transistors and transistor amplifier configurations

Semiconductor materials, diode characteristics, diode rectifiers, Zener diode applications,  Dc analysis of BJT and  FET transistors and multistage BJT and FET amplifer circuits are described.

To develop problem solving skills and understanding of electronic circuits with diode and transistors  through the application of techniques and principles of electrical circuit analysis.

Course Goals:

1.       To develop an understanding of the Fundamentals of semicondıuctor material and doping to form junctions

2.       To develop the ability to apply circuit analysis techniques to for Diode circuits

3.       To be able to perform DC analysis for single stage and multistage  BJT amplifiers and calculate gain for AC signals

4.       Learn about JFET transistors and DC and AC analysis of JFET amplifiers

5.       Learn about MOSFET transistors and DC and AC analysis of MOSFET amplifiers

Course Outcomes

1.       To be able to understand semiconductor materials in electronics

2.       To be able to perform DC and AC analysis for    transistor amplifier circuits
