Course Description: The course has been designed to introduce fundamental principles of circuit theory, DC analysis of diodes, transistors and BJT transistor amplifiers.

Semiconductor materials, diode characteristics, diode applications, Dc analysis of BJT and  FET transistors and BJT amplifer gain calculations are described.

To develop problem solving skills and understanding of electronic circuits with diode and transistors  through the application of techniques and principles of electrical circuit analysis.

Course Goals:

1.       To develop an understanding of the fundamental laws and elements of electric circuits.

2.       To develop the ability to apply circuit analysis techniques to DC circuits

3.       To learn semiconductor material and their electrical properties

4.       To be able to perform DC analysis for BJT and FET transistors

5.       To learn gain calculation in BJT amplifiers
